Your Pewter Models Don't Have to Suck!

This week I take an Old Warhammer 40k Tau Commander Shadowsun and try and bring it up a few steps. One of my favorite thing to do with old pewter models is to elevate them, sometimes literally, in most cases actually, but really what I mean is just giving them a little bit of extra attention and make them look like they belong on the table with much newer models. Now don't get me wrong, I really really like old sculpts, and I would absolutely love to own a WHFB or 40K army composed of nothing but green rimmed pewter, but these days it's a little hard to accomplish that without a boatload of cash. On the other hand, there are a whole bunch of older, still great, sculpts out there that you can find pretty regularly on eBay for a pretty good price! So here are the steps I take in order to do the older models justice while also bringing them into the modern age of GW plastic.
