OUR NEWBORN HAS SEVERE HEARING LOSS!!!
A few weeks ago we found out our newborn son Neo Valdes had fluid in his ears, he failed his hearing test twice and we were referred to a hearing and speech center for further testing. We did not know anything about how to test a baby's hearing or infant hearing screening, but we knew that Neo could have a possible hearing loss. The results we received after the ABR showed that Our Newborn Has Severe and Profound Hearing Loss. We have a lot of more testing to do and the main focus now is to get Neo his hearing aids. While he is still very young, the doctors informed us about a cochlear implant. We hope to learn how to best deal with his hearing problem. Thank you so much for all your support during these times.
