Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.

Plagius was so powerful in fact, that if he had not been killed by his power hungry apprentice, it is likely the pair would have been effectively immortal.

But exactly how Powerful was Darth Plageius the wise and how did he achieve the power to stop those from dying? This video will explore the secrets of Sith Alchemy, the ability that gave Plaguis so much of his power. We will also explore why Palpatine's claim that Plageius had the power to create life, while technically true, was in part a stretching of the truth.

As we discussed in therecent video on Darth Tennenbous, these two sith were especially interested in the study of the force through science.

These two sith combined the scientific study of midi-chlorians, the Carriers of the force, with the ancient art of Sith alchemy.

To understand how Plagueis became so powerful, we just first delve into what sith alchemy was, a quick history and its capabilities.

So Sith alchemy, although it was a dark side ability, was in fact first developed by the ancient Je'daii order, the precursors of the Jedi.

The Je'daii utilised both the dark and the light side to ensure balance in the force, using what they called force alchemy to create giant beasts that they rode into battle.

However it was the dark jedi 7000 years before the clone wars that truly perfected this dark art.

These dark jedi at first had good intentions for the galaxy, seeking to use force Alchemy to heal the sick, provide endless abundance in the Galaxy and give its citizens immortality.

However the Jedi high council viewed these Jedi with fear, seeing the potential for destruction and corruption that the power to create life could lead to and so they declared war on these dark jedi.

During the hundred year war that followed, the dark jedi used force alchemy To conjur many monsterous creations, including an army of Undead zombies and terrifying beasts known as Leviathans.

Over the thousands of years that followed, the secrets of dark side alchemy would be slowly lost. One Sith heretic known as Darth Gravid went so far as to destroy information pertaining knowledge of Sith Alchemy in a bid to destroy the sith, setting the sith back by hundreds of years.

By the time of Darth Plagueis the Wise, many of the sith teachings regarding sith Alchemy had been destroyed.

However, through his and Tennabrous's study of midichlorians, they were able to unlock many of the ancient secrets of sith Alchemy. Including of course immortality.

Through the use of midichlorian manipulation, a form of sith alchemy, Darth Plagueis was able to ressurect Darth Venamis multiple times before he finally died.

Plagueis planned on using this ability with Siduous, whereby they would both rule over the Republic, both using this ability to heal one another to gain true immortality. Obviously this did not go to plan as Siduous killed Plagueis, preventing his plans from coming to fruition.
However, Sidioius's claim that Plageius was able to create life was somewhat stretching the truth. Due to the loss of so many of the ancient sith texts which pertained knowledge of how to create life, Palguis struggled to create life as the dark Jedi and sith of old had done.

As we explored in another recent video Plaguis experiment to create a being purely from the dark side was ultimately a failure, with the dark lord fearing that this experiment to dominate the force had resulted in the force responding with a being who would bring balance to the force who was of course Anakin Skywalker.

So while it is technically true that Plageius had the power to create life as he in all likelyhood created Anakin Skywalker, this was very much unintentional as it was in fact the force itself reacting to his dark machinations.
