South Africa Violence | Zuma’s Arrest Triggers Riots, Violence; Indians Pick Up Arms In Self Defence

Death toll and violence continue to rise in South Africa amid reports of looting and riots. This includes the death of 10 people who were killed in a stampede during looting at a shopping centre in Soweto on July 12. Amid all the violence, looting and ransacking of shops and ATMs continued especially in Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal. Countless shops and buildings have been shuttered while many others have been ransacked and looted. Many Indians living in South Africa have also reportedly picked up arms to protect themselves and their businesses.
