The South Coast of Sri Lanka is definitely well known for turtles making their way up and nesting on the beaches. Of course , Mirissa is one of the hot spot for that. The great part of swimming at turtle bay in Mirissa is that it is the turtle natural habitat, they are not being persuaded to come close to the shore by the use of food. You can swim alongside with turtle naturally and that is one of the best experience we have made while traveling in Sri Lanka ! Also, The sea is such a nice temperature around Sri Lanka making it a lot nicer than swimming at the sea in other parts of the world!
