Vic Cabinet reshuffle expected to last four days as Premier Jacinta Allan begins her tenure

Victoria's new Premier Jacinta Allan will take up to four days to decide on a Cabinet reshuffle as she begins conversations with ministers about their potential roles in her new government.

The 49th Premier donned the hard hat for her first open media appearance since being sworn into office.

Ms Allan defended cost blowouts on major infrastructure projects as she gave credit to construction workers for leading level crossings ahead of schedule and under budget.

After describing Tim Pallas as “an outstanding Treasurer” across his nine years, she announced he would be continuing his role in her new government.

She also moved to assure voters the election promises which saw the Andrews government reelected in 2022 would be kept.
