SpaceCamp [1/9]

This movie in particular is a strange Hollywood artifact that suffered from the most extreme bad luck imaginable: the Challenger space shuttle accident in 1986 that killed all 7 astronauts onboard

However, instead of just sitting on the movie for a year or two until the public at large had had enough time time emotionally process the Challenger tragedy, this movie was pushed out - more or less - on its originally scheduled 1986 release date

The other oddity about SpaceCamp is how it's made / presented: a truly whole family movie with something to appeal to every age... from little kids, to horned-up teens, to parents paying for the movie tickets

------------------------------

Due to the awkwardness of this title, it's never had a proper release with good transfer... so, despite my starting from a 1080p source, it was in a pretty rough state (and probably just a rescan of the copy calved off for VHS production)

Grain can be pretty egregious from time to time, and I couldn't get rid of it without sacrificing what fine details existed on the BR copy - so it's a pestilence you'll need to accept

Likewise, there's only a stereo mix for the audio - however, given that YouTube doesn't do surround, you won't immediately notice... but I still managed some resequencing, to compensate for the rather bland audio, that brings out the non-Spielbergian John Williams score
