💻 Your computer has two Windows 10 installations (or at least two boot entries pointing to Windows 10). It’s the Windows Boot Manager, which shows up when multiple operating systems (or copies of the same OS) are detected.
🔹 1. You have two Windows installations
You (or a technician) might have installed Windows 10 twice — once on one partition (like Volume 2) and again on another.
Each installation has its own system files, so Windows Boot Manager lets you pick which one to load.
👉 How to check:
- Boot into either Windows.
- Open File Explorer → This PC.
- Check for multiple drives (C:, D:, etc.).
If one of them also has “Windows”, “Program Files”, and “Users” folders — that’s the second installation.
🔹 2. Leftover boot entry from a reinstallation or upgrade
If you reinstalled or upgraded Windows recently, the installer might’ve created a new boot entry but didn’t remove the old one.
Both will show “Windows 10”, but only one actually works.
👉 How to fix:
1. Boot into the working Windows.
2. Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
3. Go to the Boot tab.
4. You’ll see both entries there.
5. Select the one that works → click Set as default.
6. Delete the other one (only if you’re sure it’s not needed).
7. Click Apply → OK → Restart.
🔹 3. Intentional dual-boot setup
If you intentionally installed two Windows versions (like one for work and one for testing), this screen is normal.
You can choose which one to run or change the default.
