I wrote this song 4 years ago, during the winter. I was thinking about how blessed we are to have the freedoms that we have in this country, America. The high price that was paid to secure those freedoms is worth being defended. And even though this song is about the freedom and right to bear arms as citizens, really, all our freedoms are just as important as this one. I just happen to really like my guns!
