When packaging and testing can be automated, it doesn’t make sense for every request to start and end with the packaging team. The people asking for an application or update are already motivated to get it done—so give them a safe, governed way to initiate the process themselves.

In this video, I show the App Owner → App Readiness workflow. An application owner submits the request in a couple of steps, and App Readiness takes over to produce a deployable package that follows your standards and is validated with a smoke test—not just a ticket that says “please package this.”

Packaging teams still define the standards and control the defaults, but they receive documented, tested outputs instead of starting from scratch each time. The result is less back-and-forth, faster turnaround, and a better experience for the requester, the packaging team, and the users waiting on the app or update.
