In questo video vediamo alcune delle più comuni espressioni idiomatiche con le parti del corpoe con il verbo “avere”.
Avere cervello= essere intelligenti
Avere orecchio = avere propensione per la musica
Avere naso = avere intuito
Avere polso = essere energici e autorevoli, essere in grado di gestire le situazioni e prendere iniziative.
Avere fegato = avere coraggio.
Avere un peso sullo stomaco = avere una preoccupazione, un problema o un senso di colpa.
Avere un buco allo stomaco = avere fame.
Avere l’acqua alla gola = essere in una situazione disperata, con poche possibilità di uscita, o non avere abbastanza tempo per finire qualcosa di importante.
Avere il cuore in gola = essere agitati o affannati.
Avere uno scheletro nell’armadio = avere un segreto inconfessabile.
In this video you’ll learn some of the most common idioms with body parts and the verb “avere” (= to have).
Let’s see these boby parts first: il cervello = brain, l’orecchio = ear, il naso = nose, il polso = wrist, lo stomaco = stomach, il fegato = liver, la gola = throat, il cuore = heart, lo scheletro = skeleton.
Here are the idioms:
Avere cervello = to be intelligent.
Avere orecchio = to have a propensity for music.
Avere naso = to be intuitive.
Avere polso = to be assertive and authoritative, be able to manage situations and take the initiative.
Avere fegato = to be brave.
Avere un peso sullo stomaco (literally, to have a weight on the stomach) = to be worried for something or to feel guilty.
Avere un buco allo stomaco (literally, to have a hole in the stomach) = to be hungry.
Avere l’acqua alla gola (literally, to have the water up to your throat) = to be in a desperate situation or not to have enough time to finish something important.
Avere il cuore in gola (to have your heart in your throat) = to be agitated, anxious, or out of breath.
Avere uno scheletro nell’armadio (literally, to have a skeleton in your wardrobe/closet) = to have a terrible secret that you don’t want to confess.
