Proxxon Micromot MB 200 Drill Stand Unboxing, Detailed Review and Test

A while ago I acquired a Proxxon IBS/E professional drill/grinder: German “Industrie-BohrSchleifer” – hence IBS (link below). It’s basically a “Dremel” with less plastic. But I failed miserably at drilling holes into cheap, phenolic perfboards with it (links below). The holes were not exactly where I wanted them and the backside of the boards looked quite bad.

A drill stand was required. I went with the more expensive Proxxon MB 200, ignoring their cheaper MB 140/S model. Because of the special 20mm necks of their tools it had to be a Proxxon (try to find a non-Dremel drill stand for a Dremel). And now I’ve made the perfect hole. However, otherwise that thing is a mixed customer experience.
