Twin pregnancy types(dichorionic-diamniotic),(monochorionic-diamniotic),monoamniotic,mono/di-zygotic

Ultrasound of a dichorionic-diamniotic twin pregnancy (DCDA), DCDA is the most common type of twin pregnancy where the babies have their own placenta and their own amniotic cavity in the same womb and so have the most favorable outcome. If there is only one placenta (monochorionic) and/or one amniotic cavity (monoamniotic) there may be some problems.
On ultrasound the so-called Lambda sign is diagnostic for DCDA twins.
