STATEMENT FROM TONIC ENGINEER:

"From customer feedback and social media we had been made aware that some of the Jewel Drops that were initially supplied were cracking in certain circumstances - we made adjustments to the product formulation to rectify this - we have not received complaints about the Crystal Drops showing similar issues.
The adjustment made was to reduce the shrinkage of the product as it went through the drying process - this effectively reduced the potential of the drops to crack - we implemented this change at the end of 2016.
Due to the formulation of Jewel Drops it is best to ensure that the drop made is fully dry before flexing the product - the product goes through 2 stages
Stage 1 - feels dry to the touch but is still brittle if flexed, and
Stage 2 - is fully dried and can be flexed without cracking - we suggest that this is 48 hours just to be ultra safe (24 hours for Crystal Drops)
We do however recommend the following on all drops:
To keep the size of the drops to a maximum of 1/2 inch diameter. (Some fine cracking may occur if they are significantly larger than this)
While drying keep the drops away from being in the direct flow of air conditioning units - this dries the drops too quickly and can lead to fine cracking.
Dry the drops in a normal ambient room temperature. 18-24oC
Ensure the drops are fully dry before flexing the card.
