What happens when you strike gold and are actually able to compete with the leading video game company in the world? You gotta make those sequels, of course! Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive for you non-American folk) was a commercial success and it was only natural that SEGA’s new mascot get a sequel worthy of surpassing the original.
