1: Mid 2007 Aluminum iMac, Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 GHz. 320 GB HD, 3 GB RAM. Mac OS X 10.6.7
2: Early 2001 Flower Power iMac G3, 500 MHz PowerPC G3. 500 GB HD, although only 128 GB of the HD can can be used (ATA bus limitations). Upgraded to 1 GB of RAM. Running latest version of Mac OS X compatible with G3 processor (10.4.11). This computer does not have an AirPort Card, so it is receiving an Internet connection with Ethernet from the other iMac.
3: Early 2008 White MacBook, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 250 GB HD, 3 GB RAM. This computer has been acting up with Mac OS X lately, so Ubuntu 11.04, Natty Narwahl, was installed for the time being until a new hard drive is bought for it, seeing that it is not worth the effort of installing a system then transferring it to a new hard drive.
4: Early 2008 MacBook, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. 160 GB HD, 2 GB RAM. Mac OS X 10.6.7
Early 2004 iBook G4, 1.07 GHz PowerPC G4. 1.25 GB of RAM, 30 GB HD. Mac OS X 10.4.11. 10.5, which is known as Leopard, can be installed onto this computer, but performance is very sluggish and not desirable.
Mid 1999 Blueberry Clamshell iBook G3, with a 300 MHz PowerPC G3. Paltry 5 GB HD, 192 MB RAM. Mac OS 9.2.2, the last version of the Classic Mac OS. The latest version of Mac OS X this computer can run with stock components is Mac OS X 10.3.9, also known as Panther. Panther does run reasonably well, however I have some programs that still require Mac OS 9 and do not play well with Classic on Mac OS X.
These six Macs are going to be powered on around the same time, and will automatically open to the Apple Startpage with the operating system's default browser, which is Safari on Mac OS X, Firefox on Ubuntu, and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 on Mac OS 9. The Macs will be shut down once all have loaded the homepage. This video had to be shot quickly because the battery in the Clamshell doesn't hold a great charge, and there were only two plugs available...
