Banitis Гр-319 / Gr-319 Ferdinands steam engine en route from Aluksne to Gulbene, Latvia

This is Gulbene-Aluksne narrow gauge railway, located in Latvia. It is a 33 km remaining part of 212 km long line Stukmaņi (Pļaviņas) - Valka built in 1903. Track gauge is 750 mm. The line is a state culture heritage site and is in regular operation, usually under a diesel locomotive and occasionally under steam. Currently used Гр (Gr) type steam engine is borrowed from Estonia, it was built in 1951 in Germany. (http://banitis.lv).
