I spent about 5 hours tabbing this out since parts of it were hard to hear. The notes themselves are pretty easy, but it's the octave that they are that's the tricky part

This was the version from Poems, Prayers, and Promises (the original). I later found the version from The John Denver Collection which has more (and different) bass in it.

I'm doing the original version, and then I might do the John Denver Collection Version if enough people would like it.

So I used to work at a boy scout camp called El Rancho Cima. (fun fact, Joe exotic, the tiger king himself, actually worked there back in the 80's as the camp medic), but it closed down due to a flood along the river portion of the camp that caused millions of dollars in damage. So, for the closing summer, we brought back a camp song that they used to sing years ago. It's called ranch road 12. It's basically Country roads, but with altered lyrics to fit the camp (as many scouting songs do to other tunes). So the song always brings back memories of camp and friends and good times that we had. This was also one of my gateway country songs. I used to hate country, but I firmly believe that there are good songs in any genre. This is the first one I found that I liked. After this, I had found Wagon Wheel, and then Parachute (Chris stapleton), then his whole traveller album (the one Tennesee whiskey is off of), and then I found "must be the whiskey", and I'm slowly finding more and more that I like.

As for why I tabbed it the way that I did, It felt pretty natural to use the 7 and the 9 for the most part. It's a smaller stretch than 7 and 4 (though that's perfectly fine), it just felt like the span of 3 frets fit the song best.

Thanks for watching! Enjoy :)
