Syrinx - Marigolds (official video)

Marigolds, a previously unreleased recording by pioneering Canadian group Syrinx, is one of the outstanding tracks that will be part of the upcoming retrospective: "Pangalactic Performer", a 3-disc set spanning a decade of Syrinx synthesist John Mills-Cockell's work, both with the band and on other projects.

Inspired by Paul Zindel's play "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds", this epic composition starts off with delicate electronic ambience before launching into full-on space jazz featuring an extremely catchy hook. A dreamy rain-drenched section leads us into a psychedelic space journey before gently settling back into the gentle tones of the opening section.

I Dream of Wires director Robert Fantinatto combined archival footage of the band with purely analog liquid light effects in this new promo video exclusively on Waveshaper TV.
