Does ILD Matter In A Natural Latex Mattress?

Indentation Load Deflection (ILD) is a technical term used when determining how much force is used to compress latex (and other foams). However, ILD will not really tell you what a latex mattress will FEEL like. Two samples, same ILD, feel completely different. What gives?

Density. Not destiny... :) In this example, natural latex has a higher density than synthetic latex, but both have the same ILD.

Take home point: ILD is not the key number in determining if a mattress is right for you.
