How To Remove Blacktop Sealcoating or Tar From Concrete or Brick 😨– Asphalt Sealer Removal

Here’s how I remove asphalt sealer from concrete or brick efficiently. Unfortunately I didn’t have as much floor stripper as I thought I did, so I had to go through more of the paint stripper so I was still able to get the job done. From here it looks like in some areas oil from the oil based sealer has actually penetrated the concrete, so it will look a lot better once the concrete has dried, and once it is off the surface, it usually takes a month or two of sun & weather before you can no longer see any sign of the stain. If you have gotten blacktop sealer or tar on a hard surface like brick or concrete, as you could see the paint stripper got it off most efficiently. I recommend using a steel brush to agitate the solvent into the sealer, you will have to throw it out as it will be ruined after one use so don’t spend too much on one, here’s a good one:
