Whimble Webinar | The Attendant Perspective: The People Behind the Care
💬 What does it really mean to work in attendant care beyond the tasks, routines, and schedules?
In this webinar, *The Attendant Perspective: The People Behind the Care*, we sat down with Whimble attendants Anna, Ola, and Siwar for an honest conversation about the realities of caregiving, the emotional side of support work, and the human connections that shape this field every day.
✨ In this session, we discussed:
• What drew each panellist into attendant and support work
• The realities of a “typical” day as a PSW or attendant
• Building trust, dignity, and respect with clients
• Misconceptions people often have about caregiving
• The emotional intelligence and adaptability required in care work
• Meaningful moments that have stayed with them throughout their careers
• Advice for anyone considering entering the field
From conversations about emotional resilience and disability justice to stories about connection, trust, and advocacy, this webinar offers a thoughtful behind-the-scenes look at the people who make care possible every day.
At Whimble, we believe care is never just about completing tasks. It is about supporting independence, preserving dignity, and building genuine human connection.
