Flipping Shackle Links
Not all trailer spring shackles will flip down when the trailer is lifted by the frame, like this boat trailer. Others do. As I lower the second trailer onto the wheels again, it becomes necessary to flip those links back up where they belong. When one axle is up, lift that axle higher to set things right. On the first side I was not squarely under the axle and the jack got spit back at me, watch out! Once you see the links and the equalizer in the form of a "W", you are good to go. Be ready for the trailer to JUMP!
