Treatment of Opioid Use Disorders

In this module Dr. Gilmore Wilson helps pharmacists understand that with repeated use of a substance, the brain changes and results in cravings and compulsive use of a substance despite negative consequences resulting in a substance use disorder. She then discusses the three medications currently approved to treat opioid use disorder, methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
