UK-France conduct joint operation against Islamic States in Syria, Typhoon fighter jet in action

In a Britain-France joint operation, Islamic State’s underground arms cache bombed in Syria, on January 03. Britain’s Defence Ministry informed about the operation, on January 04, as it released video footage of its aircraft. Video footage provided by the ministry showed RAF’s Typhoon aircraft refuelling in mid-air by Voyager refuelling tanker. Our aircraft used Paveway IV guided bombs to target a number of access tunnels down to the facility: UK Defence Ministry. Britain’s Ministry also confirmed that the area was “devoid of any civilian habitation” before the attack. Defence Secy John Healey called it a testament of “UK leadership, and determination to stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies”. He also reiterated the resolve to “stamp out any resurgence of Daesh and their dangerous & violent ideologies in Middle East”. UK’s Defence Ministry reported no casualty or loss of equipment during the operation against the Islamic States.
