How To Use Substance Painter With Blender | Blender to Substance Painter Workflow Tutorial

This tutorial shows how to use one of the best texturing programs in the world, Substance Painter, with Blender. Whilst there is no official integration between these 2 programs, they can still be used very effectively together.

This tutorial shows you how to export and FBX model from Blender, import it into Substance Painter, export textures and then finally use those textures in Blender. We use the Node Wrangler add-on to simplify the process of setting up the materials in Blender. The universal BSDF Shader is used, along with base colour, normal, roughness, metallic and heigh maps to create photorealistic materials.

There are some tips at the end of the video for reducing RAM usage by exporting lower resolution textures from Substance Painter, as well as some advice for working with particles.
