Injection mold making includes a series of the complicated manufacturing process. One of the essential processes is the tooling assembly.

For a new injection mold, all of the tooling components have been machined well. The last process will be mold fitting and assembly. Mostly it’s a time-consuming job, which depends on the difficulty of the job and the skills of a mold master. For simple molds, it normally will take about half days or 1 day for the assembly. But if for complicate molds, it will take days or even weeks.

It’s because they are simplified injection molding tools, their mold bases normally will be for common use and shared with other injection tools. It’s for saving the tooling cost and eliminate the risk for start-up projects.
