The market, a major commercial hub, had long operated without a consistent monthly sanitation exercise, leading to growing environmental and public health concerns.

The cleanup operation is being led by the Chief Consultant of the International Market, Adams Babangida, in collaboration with the Nigeria Forest Security Service.and management of the market.

Babangida expressed appreciation to the State Governor for supporting the initiative, noting that the effort is aimed at making the market cleaner, safer, and more conducive for commercial activities, while enforcing proper sanitation practices among traders and stakeholders.
