WWVB's BPSK Experiment: March 2012

NIST radio station WWVB conducted an experiment during the week of March 5, 2012 when they added Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) to their traditional modulation format.

The Lissajous pattern depicted here illustrates the 180 degree shifts in carrier phase that took place in concurrence with WWVB's standard Amplitude Shift Keying modulation.

This recording of WWVB's radio signal was made on Saturday March 10, 2012 between 23:20 and 23:21 UTC from a distance of over 1600 miles using electronics of my own design.
