National Grid energy reserves are dwindling. Spare capacity of 17% just three years ago has plummeted to just 4%, and with new power generation limited, outages and disruptions are likely to increase.

Leo sits down with journalist Rachael Downey from Business Reporter, the Daily Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph’s specialist enterprise section, to explain the consequences for UK businesses.

The interview explores some of the potentially catastrophic power problems that this upcoming energy crisis will pose UK PLC. He reveals it’s not just obvious areas such as online business and e-commerce that will be affected. In an internet-dependant society, everything from banking through to the NHS and emergency services could be hit with unexpected downtime.
