Medusa 2.14 reshapes the starting line: create-medusa-app scaffolds a monorepo with backend and storefront as separate packages by default. Zod jumps to v4, the Loyalty plugin lands fully open source with gift cards and account credits, icons go React 19 ready, and the SDK turns ESM-first.

Smile.io rewrites loyalty vocabulary with GoGenerosity — shoppers can convert loyalty points into charitable donations instead of discounts. It's Smile's first integration that changes what a point can become, not just how a brand redeems it.

Canix ships compliance transfers for BioTrack in Connecticut and New Mexico, extending its seed-to-sale coverage for cannabis operators.
