Remembering Brody Stevens

“I just feel alone sometimes.” These are the words Steven Brody Stevens uttered on one of his final Periscope broadcasts, less than two weeks before he committed suicide. It was something he said often on stage and on live broadcasts like this, but this particular time it felt raw. This audio and some of the video footage is from a walk he took on February 11th, 2019.

I wasn’t lucky enough to know him, but I have been a fan of his for about five years since I discovered him through Periscope. He was an enigma and I spent most of my time trying to figure out whether or not he was joking or not. It’s my favorite form of comedy.

If you are someone that feels this way, know that it’s not the only way out. No matter how deep you feel off and alone, you are not alone. We all suffer. It’s the human condition.
