Donor Recipient Story: Meet Joe & Roger

Congratulations to our 2018 Gift of Life Award winner, Joe Pawlowski! Joe joined the Be The Match Registry while playing football at Lycoming College. Never thinking he would be a match, Joe selflessly answered the call and donated his marrow to a father of 3 who was in desperate need of a transplant. Joe was supposed to meet his recipient, Roger, face to face last Saturday at our Bash. Mother Nature had other plans! But the night was not lost. We got to meet an incredible young man and celebrate his life saving gift. What a kid! Joe's super big smile and larger than life personality was infectious throughout the room.
