DJM-V10 vs DJM-900 NXS2 EQs

Some DJ's have been wondering if the DJM-V10 makes a muddy mix.
Here's a comparison of the EQ's on the DJM-V10 and the DJM-900.
On this V10 unit, cutting all EQ's drops the overall volume by only about 15db. How can we get to the bottom of this?!
