About the WDBF Dodgeball organizations from all over the world are joining together to bring the sport to the next level through collaboration, cooperation, and international competition. The main purpose of the World Dodgeball Federation (WDBF) is to officially represent dodgeball in the international community as the sport's governing International Federation (IF).

Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the WDBF acts as the global governing body for association dodgeball and organizes the sport's major international tournaments, most notably the Dodgeball World Championships.

Championship History The first World Championships were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Hong Kong took the men’s gold and a combined United States/Canada team won gold for the women. Since then, the sport has seen champions rise from across the globe. While Canada and the United States have historically dominated the podium, recent years have seen the emergence of new powerhouses, with Malaysia capturing multiple Men’s Foam titles and Austria cementing themselves as the team to beat in the Cloth discipline.

Global Growth Since its inception, the WDBF has grown exponentially. From just 7 original member federations, the organization now supports dodgeball in over 80 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
