Riding Capital Metro, MetroRapid 803, The Domain to Downtown Austin

Riding Capital MetroRapid 803 (bus model: Nova LFX), from The Domain to Downtown Austin. This trip starts from The Domain (located northwest of Austin) and ends at Republic Square Station in Downtown Austin. In the future, Cap Metro is going to expand the MetroRail Red Line to the Domain and Austin FC Stadium. In addition, two propose light-rail lines will be built on Guadalupe Street (s street that passes by UT-Austin and Downtown Austin).

POINT-OF-INTEREST:
A) Austin FC Stadium (02:47)
A soccer (or football) stadium that is home to the Austin FC. In the future, Cap Metro is going to build a station that will connect the MetroRail Red Line. The propose station is called McKalla Station.

B) JJ Pickle Research Campus (03:37)
A research campus for the University of Texas at Austin. For more information about this research center, visit at their homepage: https://www.utexas.edu/research/off-campus-research-sites

C) Cap Metro Bus Facility (04:40)
This facility is a garage for Cap Metro buses (New Flyers, Novas, MCIs, Gilligs, etc).

E) University of Texas at Austin (19:14)
UT-Austin is the largest public universities in Texas. Also, this school is nationally recognized for their academics, research, and sports (especially the Longhorns). Also, around UT-Austin, there are popular/trendy restaurants (like Sweetgreens, IN-N-OUT Burger, Shackshack, etc)

F) Central Market (14:51)
This is the first upscale H-E-B Grocery Store in Texas. They also have a cafe that serves coffee, gelato, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and soup! It is TASTEY! In the Houston, there is one Central Market grocery store (located near Uptown Houston and River Oaks), they have the BEST HOT SANDWICHES. Website: https://centralmarket.com/

E) The Domain (00:30)
A district that has upscale shopping center, fancy restaurants, and office buildings. In the future, Cap Metro is going to build a station at the Domain. MetroRail Red Line will serve that station. Website: https://www.simon.com/mall/the-domain

G) Texas Department of Health Services (12:57)
This is the state health department.

H) Downtown Austin (21:51)
Downtown Austin is the city center. Also, home of several high-tech companies, upscale condominiums, Texas State Capitol (23:05), state government offices, and hotels.
