Easy & Healthy Family Snacks + Treats
Hey guys!! Wanted to share some snack and treat recipes we've been loving around here.. Hope you enjoy!!
I buy most of my dried & canned goods (pasta, marinara, soups, chips, cereals, bars, vitamins, powders & cleaning supplies) on https://www.vitacost.com. I feel like they have pretty good prices, and they always offer an additional 10% discount if you just ask them via the live chat.. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but my mom actually told me about them, and it makes ordering my dried goods much easier.. Everything is on my doorstep a day or two later. Just wanted to share.
Homemade Salsa
2 Large Tomatoes
1/4 White Onion
Few Sprigs Cilantro
Juice of 1/2 a Lemon & 2 Limes
1/2 of a seeded Jalapeño Pepper
few pinches of salt to taste

Easy Veggie Platter (Snack or Quick Lunch)
1 Large Cucumber sliced
2 Sticks Celery Sliced
1 Avocado Sliced
Pink of pink salt
optional: a few slices of cheese, or roasted sliced turkey breast
Sweet Potato Toast
1 Large Sweet Potato (cut into toast size slices)
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
Add avocado or make it sweet with some peanut butter, bananas & cinnamon. Cinnamon and butter is a good combo too. =) I use the earth balance butter. =)
Kale Chips
Chop 4-5 Large Kale Leaves
Add EVOO + a pinch sea salt
Bake @ 350 degrees for 10 min. Watch Closely
Coconut Popsicles
1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
little bit of vanilla bean
Shredded Coconut (optional)
Chai Latte/ Chai Popsicles
1 Cup Tazo Chai Concentrate
1 Cup Almond or Coconut Milk
little bit of vanilla bean.
Add over Ice, or to a Popsicle mold.
Mango Popsicles
Frozen Mango
Coconut Milk
1/2 Lemon
Tablespoon Maple Syrup (Optional)
Peanut Butter Chocolate Greens Smoothie

Ice
Almond or Coconut Milk
1 Tablespoon Plain Peanut Butter
1/2 Frozen Banana
