Our walk down television's memory lane brings us to the early 1990s and the talk show circuit. The early 1990s were a boom-time for the television talk show... everyone seemed to have a talk show, or was getting one, and many were outlandish... the grander and crazier the better. Hello Jerry Springer! The television syndication market went wild on the format as well, and a cottage industry was born.

Geraldo Rivera had a very successful syndicated talk show around this time, and one sub-genre that his series focused upon over those years was the challenges of the television child star.

In this episode, Different Strokes TV series star Dana Plato is featured. She went through some very difficult times after the series ended, and despite her best efforts to live her life on her terms, in a better way, with better outcomes, she wasn't able to live a long life. RIP now Dana.
