Kliptown residents left behind 69 years after adoption of Freedom Charter
The ANC commemorated the anniversary of the Freedom Charter, which was adopted on 26 June 1955 in Kliptown. But residents in the area say they have no freedom as they still live in squalor decades later, with many projects still incomplete. Newzroom Afrika’s Zola Sholwana speaks to some Kliptown residents.
