Mangere-born and guided by the wairua of his tūpuna (spirit of his ancestors), Wedding’s protest led to arrest, jail time, and a deeper calling to activism rooted in whakapapa and whenua.

@loadingdocs documentary ‘Tū Tonu’ traces his journey from champion tree climber and senior lecturer to protector of rākau, revealing how his connection to the natural world carried him through his lowest moments and reshaped his purpose.
