Club Nacional de Football is one of South America's most important clubs, and the most successful club in Uruguay. Although their triumphs on the pitch have been abundant, there is one story about this club which supersedes any other in terms of their influence on world football. This is the story of Miguel Prudencio Reyes, the world's first active supporter and fan.

Before Reyes, football was supported by the middle class who would passively clap for a goal. But his passion for the team, both as the person that would inflate the footballs for the club, and bring enthusiasm in the stands changed the game of football, and fan culture forever. He turned football terraces into the vibrant and wonderful spaces that we know today.
