Snowy Treasure Hunter Training Episode Gold Fever Level 1-12

Our old buddy, little bear Snowy, starts his hunt for adventures again. This time his aim is the ancient treasures hidden in the abandoned labyrinths. Snowy: Treasure Hunter is the remake of our outstanding, striking computer game Gold Sprinter. The main concept unites these two games in that you gather all the treasures by the main character, at the same time outwitting the terrible monsters.. The bear's natural sly and the effective bonuses would help to conquer the monsters. More then sixty different skill levels, divided into three game episodes await our character. Due to the excellent graphics and nice background music the Snowy Adventures astonishes even the adult player from the very first seconds. And a special game mode is designed for the younger treasurer hunters, when the monsters reveal absolutely no danger.

Presented from a side-on view, the goal of each level is to collect all of the treasure onscreen, with the catch being that Snowy can’t jump or travel upwards without assistance. This means that in order for you to collect everything, you must climb ladders and shimmy across ropes in order to reach the top of an environment and then decide which would be the most treasure-rich method of descent.

Yup, there may be gold in these levels, but there are monsters too. These guys patrol their areas, quickly giving chase to you if you are spotted. It’s not as simple as just killing them though, as even if you manage to off them, they just respawn. Evading them isn’t all that easy either, as your character is very limited in movement, which really makes things challenging. You can’t jump out of the way or anything like that – instead, you’ll need to use the ladders and ropes that are spread around the levels to both collect the treasure and keep out of the bad guys’ clutches.

Since you aren’t all that mobile, and figuring out how to get around is part of the puzzle in this game, you will find yourself in a situation where a monster is headed right for you and you literally have nowhere to go. In that case, your only option is generally digging a hole with your pickaxe for the monster to fall into. Then, you can walk right over them to get to where you need to go – that is, of course, assuming that you are on a terrain that allows you to dig, and not all of them do. Also, if the monster is very close to you, your pickaxe will not dig a hole, so if you wait too long to prepare, you die. If you accidentally fall into the hole you dug and can’t get out – you die. If your pumpkin bomb goes off too close to you, or you catch yourself in your own trap, etc. – you die. There are seemingly infinite ways to die, each of which puts you right back at the start, even if you were just about to step through the doorway to a new level.

The goal for each level requires collecting all gems and then making a quick exit to move on up to the next level. Snowy relies heavily on his pickaxe to break through the ground either to trap the bad guys or to reach an inaccessible area. Watch out when bad guys fall into the Snowy-dug hole as they can pop out after a few seconds. To get rid of them, stand over them while they’re in the hole. Don’t let your guard down or they might reappear elsewhere or their buds could be on their way to get you.

If you lose all of your lives and must start a new game, you can pick up at the last level you played. You’ll start over at 0 points and any gems you collect will need picking up again. At least you don’t have to start over on level one and fight your way back.

Thank goodness some levels don’t have monsters, so players can take a break from the chase to focus on collecting and exiting. These are my favorite levels as they let me catch my breath and restore my sanity.
