Sailing Between Storms On Lake Michigan

Sailing on Lake Michigan we dodge storms and squalls while heading North on along Michigan's West Coast.

After nearly three years of preparing the boat (and a few last minute repairs) Sam, Theo, and Adam depart South Haven, Michigan for a cruise North along Michigan’s West coast.

We start out in 5 Knots of breeze, which picks up in the evening as storms roll through the area. After a night of praying our anchor would hold, we depart Saugatuck, Michigan with the goal of getting as far North as we can before storms over take us.

As a crew we have to make careful decisions around storm systems, entering channels, and the sailing of the boat.
