Tioga Road is closed; Glacier Point Road limited opening
Tioga Road (continuation of Hwy 120 through the park) is closed due to snow. Glacier Point Road is open July 1 from 6 am through July 4 at 10 pm, July 8 from 6 am through July 9 at 10 pm, then every day starting July 15 with 30-minute delays.

Seasonal Information
Rivers & Waterfalls: Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, Bridalveil Fall, and Yosemite Falls are flowing very high for this time of year. Use extreme caution anywhere near flowing water; stay back from riverbanks. On June 1, snowpack was 257% of average in the Tuolumne River basin and 346% of average in the Merced River basin for this time of year.
Tree work in Yosemite Valley: The Scenic Vista and Biomass Removal projects are underway in Yosemite Valley.

Bears: Bears remain active throughout the park. Be sure to store your food properly and to remain at least 50 yards from bears in forest and meadows (but yell at/scare away a bear that approaches you or is in a developed area).

Fire and Smoke
Prescribed fires and pile burning are planned for this summer, which may cause smoky conditions at times.

Yosemite's air quality may be affected by fires elsewhere in the region or by prescribed fire in Yosemite; hazy or smoky conditions are always possible.

Trails and Wilderness Conditions
Trails in Yosemite may be closed when there are hidden hazards or when they are impassable due to rock fall, snow, ice, or fire. Open trails aren't necessarily free of hazards--by entering the wilderness, you assume responsibility for your safety and must use good judgment. Trails not listed below are open, but may be snowy and very difficult to find from about November through May/June (and may have other hazards).

Stay away from all rivers and creeks, which are running high and (at higher elevations) with snowbanks that may collapse.

Yosemite Valley Area
The Mist Trail from the John Muir Trail junction just uphill from the Vernal Fall footbridge to the top of Vernal Fall will be closed Mondays through Thursdays from 7 am to 3:30 pm from July 10 through November 2 (dates subject to change). The trail will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and will usually be open from 3:30 pm to 7 am (there may be some nights when the trail must remain closed). Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and beyond are reachable during the closure via the John Muir Trail and Clark Point cutoff trail. This closure is due to trail work.
