The Ministry of External Affairs said India has received an invitation from the United States to join President Donald Trump’s proposed Board of Peace and is reviewing the offer.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said New Delhi continues to support efforts for peace and stability in West Asia, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomes initiatives aimed at ensuring long-term peace in Gaza.

According to reports, Trump plans to convene the Board in Washington this month to mobilise support for Gaza’s reconstruction, with the initiative expected to have a broader mandate beyond the Israel-Hamas conflict.
