California police chase ends in one dead after hour-long pursuit

A suspect has died during a police pursuit lasting nearly an hour in California.

Footage of the chase shows officers attempting to stop the Cadillac with a grappler device.

That failed, and the driver lost control of the vehicle, crashing into the concrete barrier of a nearby home.

Police engaged in a standoff before the man was removed from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
