1995 destruction of Al Capone's headquarters filmed by none other than famous crime Author William J. Helmer. This long raw footage shows the day to day destruction of the once glorious Lexington Hotel, once host and home to Presidents, stars and common folk. Most notable for it's most famous tenant Al "Scarface" Capone and his hundreds of henchmen from 1928 to 1931.Plans to save and renovate it fell through and it fell victim to the wrecker's ball in fall of 1995.
