BE2c Spotlanding in Hannover

Es freut mich sehr, dass mein Airfix-Modell der BE2c im Luftfahrtmuseum Hannover-Laatzen sein neues Zuhause finden konnte. Das Diorama bezieht sich auf ein Originalfoto, welches das bizarre Ende eines Trainingsflugs zeigt. Eine "Punktlandung" in 3 Bäumen. Das Foto zeigt den Piloten, wie er aus der Kanzel aussteigt und einen Helfer, wie er dem Piloten entgegenklettert. Das Flugzeug sowie die Besatzung scheinen komplett unversehrt zu sein. Echtes Glück im Unglück - und ein interessantes Fotomotiv. Das Diorama interpretiert die Position des Fotografen und zeigt zudem noch eine passende Zugmaschine aus der Zeit um 1925.

I am proud to announce the new home of my Airfix BE2c: The aviation museum in hanover (http://www.luftfahrtmuseum-hannover.de) The diorama is based on an original photo showing the grotesque end of a training flight. A "Spot landing in trees". The original shows a pilot comming down and an assistant climbing up the middle tree. Both the airplane and the crew seemed to be safe, luckily. The diorama interprets the photographs position and presents the suitable truck of the 1915s.
I would like to thank Siegfried Fricke, Dr. Wilfried Crome and Harald Steiner for their nice invitation and hosting my little bird...
