Donald Trump was asked whether Barron Trump might go into politics someday, and instead of shutting it down, he immediately started bragging that Barron is “certainly a popular guy” before reminding everyone that plenty of people in his family are supposedly popular too. It was a small comment, but it fits perfectly into Trump’s long-running obsession with turning politics into a family business where every election somehow becomes another chance to promote the Trump brand.
