Nubra Valley & Pangong Lake, beauties of Leh-Ladakh

Leh-Ladakh Day 3

Drive to Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake from Leh was such a serenity. On the way we stopped at KHARDUNG pass which is 17,982 ft from sea level. This was the highest altitudes I have been in my life.

Driving into Nubra valley after KHARDUNG pass is heck of a different experience. Riding up and down on hilly roads passing colorful, different shaped Rocky Mountains amazing. Diskit monastery is one such hidden gem in Nubra valley. View from monastery is beautiful.

Sand dunes in Nubra valley surrounded with mountains is beautiful on sunset. It offers Camel rides for Rs. 300.

Leh- Ladakh Day 4:

Drive to the Incredible Pangong Lake was again filled with desert beauty. Blooming wild flowers in the dessert, colorful Rocky Mountains, muddy rivers makes the route incredibly beautiful. Lake was crystal clear and blue. Surrounded by red rocky and black snow topped mountains makes Pangong more captivating. This endorheic lake is huge enough to extend to Tibet and China. In fact a large part of it resides in Tibet.
